1. Data We Collect

Waitlist data: If you join the Android waitlist, we collect your email address and the language selected on the website so we can notify you in the appropriate language about launch and availability.

Account data: When you create an account after launch, we will collect your email address and a display name.

Location data: When you enable proximity notifications, we use your device’s location to detect when you are near a saved place. Location data is processed on-device and is not stored on our servers.

Saved places: The places you save in Seego are stored in your account and synced across your devices.

2. How We Use Your Data

To send launch and availability updates if you join the waitlist.

To provide proximity notifications when you are near a saved place.

To sync your saved places across devices.

To send important account-related communications.

We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely. Access to waitlist records is restricted to server-side services; public and signed-in client roles cannot read the waitlist table.

To protect the waitlist form from automated abuse, we temporarily store a one-way hash derived from the request IP address for rate limiting. The raw IP address is not stored in the waitlist records, and rate-limit records are automatically discarded after 24 hours.

Location processing for proximity notifications happens on your device. We do not store your real-time location history.

4. Data Sharing

We do not share your personal data with third parties except where required by law or to provide core app functionality (such as our hosting provider).

5. Your Rights

You have the right to access, export, or delete your data at any time. If you joined the waitlist, you can request removal of your email from our records by contacting us.

6. Children’s Privacy

Seego is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by other means.
